The Seminar: Gary Barnett on Summer Trolling & Artificials
Our guest speaker, Gary Barnett, broke down exactly how to target stripers as they transition into their deeper summer routines with trolling tactics. When the heat turns up, covering water efficiently becomes the name of the game. Gary focused on dialed-in depth control using a few key artificial presentations.

June Tournament Breakdown & Conditions
Following the seminar, we tallied up the results from our latest club tournament on Lake Lanier. Here is a look at the data and how our teams fared out on the water.

Water Temperatures: 78°F – 83°F (The summer thermocline is locking in, pushing the main schools toward deeper structure and high-oxygen zones).

The Winning Patterns
The Early Bite: Teams found success running planer boards early in the morning during low-light conditions when fish were still willing to look up.

The Mid-Day Shift: As the sun came up, the bite shifted to downlines. Anglers found the most consistent action by targeting fish in deeper water.

The Winning Tactic: Team RC Fishing took home the hardware by blind pitching live herring in strategic areas.
